Automatic test systems BASALT®

Measuring platforms with adaptable 2D force sensors are available for examinations of mechanical and chemical properties of surfaces and materials being in relative movement to each other. By combining exchangeable modules (movement patterns, force ranges, control of environmental conditions) we are able to run various experiments, manually or automatically, on one platform.. An easy-to-handle experimental sequencer enables whole measurement series to be automatically realized.

The BASALT® N2 model can be supplied with different customized test modules, with a short delivery time and high measurement accuracy.

Applications:

- Measurement of coefficient of friction (COF)

- Contact geometries: pin/ball-on-disc etc.

- Experimental movements: rotating and reciprocating

- Torque measurement

- Friction wear measurement

- Elasto-hydrodynamic measurement

We offer special software modules and customized solutions for various test tasks, as e. g. for friction/wear, indentation, scratch resistance, adhesion or mechanical profile.
